The Alta Via delle Dolomìti n.1 crosses the Dolomiti Venete (the Venetian Dolomites) from north to south (and are known as Dolomiti Orientali (the Eastern Dolomites) or Dolomiti Bellunesi (the Belluno Dolomites)
The Alta Via starting point is from Lago di Bràies (lake), in the Region of Bolzano, and it stays in this region (except for a short stretch in the Refuge area Biella in the Region of Belluno) along the first three proposed tracks, that is until the Alpe di Lagazuòi, where they enter once again in the Region of Belluno and remains for all the route.
