No-one has the right to leave traces of his passage through the mounts;
such
passages must be effected with discretion, with environmental education and with
maximum respect for the environment,
nature and animals.
No object, not even a sweet wrapper, should be left on site;
everything
should be put in the specially provided waste containers.
Today, thanks to the incessant commitment of various protectionist associations
(among which the
CAI association, that plays an important role in the educatation of people in the mountains), things are improving, there is
more respect and more cleaning of the mounts, there is more attention regarding the picking of flowers and plants
and permitting animals to live in peace; this attention must not be slackened
and mountain education must
continue, especially in schools, among young people, the only hope for a radical improvement. General good behaviour rules: one should never leave the signed pathways; no short-cuts should be taken (which then cause landslides); noise should not be made, frightening the animals;
flowers should not be picked; civil behaviour is a must along the pathways and in the refuges or in the apline shelters; in conclusion the reserved behaviour and responsiblity as that of any "good father" should always be present. |
